What to expect

Come and enjoy a day of experimental collagraph printmaking. Collagraph printmaking is an exciting and versatile way of making prints which can be taken in many different directions, depending on the artist! This one day workshop will introduce you (if you aren't already acquainted) to a variety of possible techniques, giving the opportunity to try out creating plates with collaged material, both natural and man made, as well as using glue and carborundum, and combining collage and incising, Once familiar with the different techniques you will be led you through the process of moving from drawing into printmaking, and explore the possibilities of working quite intuitively and experimentally between the two processes. We will look at the collagraphs of contemporary artists for inspiration. Beginners and more experienced artists are very welcome. The cost includes all materials (inks, glue, and paper etc)
