Life Drawing Day - taught

What to expect

This will be taught sessions. All welcome - Complete beginners to experienced artists. The day will be structured round a theme,. For example a recent Life Drawing Day used the theme of 'Hercules' to explore a range of poses from ' wrestling with a lion' to 'the death of Hercules', gaining inspiration and insight from drawings by Raphael, Reubens and Carracci, among others. Louise Sturgis is an experienced teacher of drawing. She trained at the Royal Academy Schools where life drawing was an integral part of the post graduate course and she has taught life drawing for many years at The Royal Drawing School in London. Her approach is sensitive and supportive, providing space for those who may only want an occasional nudge of challenge, whilst giving more structured tuition to beginners and the less confident. As with all our courses, we have the flexibility to tailor sessions according to the participants.
