What to expect

Make your Bank Holiday Weekend special with three days of drawing in the beautiful Kentmere valley. May in the Lake District is idyllic, with the spring flowers in full flow and the lambs gamboling in the fields. This course will focus on the farming life if the Lake District - a way of life that has shaped the landscape and rural culture that is so much loved. We will get outside into the landscape and farmyards, drawing the buildings, animals and people that make this part of the world so special. Over the three days you will be introduced to different materials and ways of working allowing you to find your own personal voice and response to the subject matter. 1:1 tuition and group discussions are central to this course which should equip you to approach drawing in the landscape with renewed freedom and excitement.  Please bring suitable clothing and footwear for being outdoors. We will try not to let the weather deter us.
