'Think like an Artist' with Frith Powell

What to expect

We are incredibly lucky to have persuaded Ian Frith Powell to help run this sculpture workshop. Ian is an immensely imaginative and innovative artist who can make exquisite things from anything he finds. This weekend will be devoted to the humble art of papier mache (think Claus Oldenburg, Bernie Kaminski and Mexican figurines rather than primary school productions) which is versatile and simple to use as a sculpting material. Ian will lead you on a creative journey, starting from your own inner world and imagination, guiding you to design and make a sculpture of your own. This course, above all, will be about being an artist and the creative process. Everyone is welcome on this course, from beginner to experienced artist, those used to working in 3D and those who have never tried. It will be fun! Cost of materials included in the price.
