What to expect

Back by popular demand! A five week course on consecutive Tuesdays, starting on Tuesday November 18th This course will be a joyful exploration of colour to keep us cheerful as the days draw in. We will investigate colour theory and the tireless experiments of JMW Turner in his quest to understand how we see colour in the landscape. We will look at Les Fauves and their descendants, at the work of Josef Albers and Johannes Itten, at the Abstract Expressionists and contemporary artists Eliasson and Turell. Each week you will be presented with a new challenge, investigating the effects of colour combinations, different media, and how to control them. The course will progress in response to the discoveries and ideas of the participants, so anything could happen! This course is suitable for anyone who enjoys a creative challenge.
