Louise Sturgis
Louise lives and works at Long House Studios. She trained at The Ruskin School of Fine Art, Oxford University and then as a post graduate at the Royal Academy Schools in London.
She is currently represented by The Rebecca Hossack Gallery
Sophie lives and works in London. She trained at Camberwell School of Art and as a postgraduate at The Royal Academy Schools in London. She is widely exhibited and is a member of the Royal Watercolour Society. She is an experienced and inspiring teacher.

Agnes Treherne
Agnes lives and works in East Sussex. She trained at Edinburgh University and The Royal Drawing School and exhibits widely in the UK and abroad.
She is an immensely imaginative and creative teacher.

Amanda Thesiger
Amanda lives and works in Kent. She trained at Maidstone College of Art and The Royal Academy Schools before winning a scholarship to The British School in Rome.
She exhibits widely, often working with natural inks and pigments. We are delighted that Amanda has agreed to run some of her natural ink making workshops at Long House Studios.

Julian Vilarrubi
Julian lives and works in London. He trained at The Royal Academy Schools and teaches at The Royal Drawing School in London, alongside his own practice as a painter. He is widely exhibited as well as being an experienced and inspiring teacher.

Ian Frith Powell
Ian lives and works at Long House Studios in Cumbria. He lived for many years in Sweden and trained in Stockholm at Konstfack both as an undergraduate and postgraduate.
He has exhibited in the UK and Europe and is an eclectic and hugely creative artist and an unusual and inspiring teacher

Rachel Crowther
A doctor-turned-writer, Rachel published her first novel in 2011 and is currently working on her sixth. The most recent are ‘A Parting of the Ways’ (Bloodhound Books) and ‘The House at the Edge of the Woods’ (Penguin, as Rachel Hancox).
She has an MA in Creative Writing and did a wide variety of shorter courses during her writing ‘apprenticeship’, which were always inspiring and great fun. She is delighted now to be running workshops for other people. Rachel loves pottery and mosaics and attended one of Louise’s drawing courses last year.
