Long House Studios Terms and Conditions

Materials.

When you book you will receive a list of materials to bring with you and an explanation of what we will provide for a specific course. For all courses we will provide free newsprint, charcoal and masking tape and  have a selection of other papers available to buy at cost price on the day.

Refreshments.

Coffee and a selection of teas will be available throughout the day, but please bring your own lunch.

Health and Safety

We take our Health and Safety responsibilities very seriously and aim to keep all students safe whilst they take part in classes.

Some courses require some physical agility/mobility. Details are on the website for each course. Please check before making your booking that you comply with the requirements for that course. It is your responsibility to come with suitable outdoor clothing and footwear and to take care of yourselves outside. You know your own limits better than we do.

We ask students to listen carefully to any Health and Safety instructions provided by the tutor and familiarise yourselves with fire and emergency procedures.

Whilst we do not prepare food we do provide drinks and refreshments and endeavour to meet the needs of students with special dietary requirements. Students must inform us in advance if they have special dietary requirements.

  • we will try to find someone to take your place, in which case we will give you a full refund minus 5% admin fee.

  • If we cannot fill your place we will refund you 50% of the course fee.

If we need to cancel a course, due to tutor illness or other unforeseen circumstance, we will try to give you as much notice as possible. You can transfer to an alternative course, subject to availability, or we will give you a full refund.

We will make every effort to find a replacement tutor although this is not always possible at short notice.

Complaints

In the unlikely event that you wish to make a complaint, please talk to the tutor first, during the session. They may be able to resolve the problem. If you feel unable to do this or you feel your complaint has not been resolved, please speak to Louise Sturgis in person or call her on 01539 821554 or 07557508488 on the day. She will be happy to discuss your concerns.
