What to expect

April sees Kentmere at its most beautiful, and this two day landscape sketching course offers you the opportunity to get outside and enjoy the delights of spring in the valley. You will draw in a variety of media and paint in watercolour, exploring your own personal response to the spring landscape, and finding out which materials and approach suits you best. Taking inspiration from the great landscape artists of the Lakes, such as Sheila Fell, Winifred Nicholson, Beatrix Potter and JMW Turner, we will find different locations from which to work. 1:1 tuition and group discussions are central to this course which should equip you to approach landscape drawing with renewed freedom and excitement.  Please bring suitable clothing and footwear for being outdoors. We will try not to let the weather deter us. Please let us know if you have limited mobility and we can discuss possibilities with you.
